We are proud to have worked closely with Brett Foraker/RSA, Matt Westrup/Joyrider, the Golley Slater Cardiff's creative directors David Abbott and Paul Williams and Amanda Lowit at The TV Production Office to craft the music and sound design for the "Mitsubishi Motors in the UK" 30 second TV commercial for the New PHEV and Mitsubishi's sponsorship of C4 Documentaries which air from October 19th.
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV was the world’s first 4WD Plug-in Hybrid SUV that produced a remarkable 148mpg and became the UK’s number one selling hybrid vehicle. The new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV not only has even more impressive numbers at its heart, but has undergone a complete redesign with stunning exterior styling and a premium interior finish.
In short, the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV meant that on all levels ‘Numbers never looked this good’.
Rob Baker, one of SNK’s top engineers, sculpted the creative sound design for the 30 second TV commercial. It was key that there was a clear definition between the various environments, whilst maintaining the stylistic flow throughout the spot. Rob explains “the sound design and bespoke music have a real interplay and work together to form a really full-textured soundbed, we wanted the contemporary soundtrack to feel like one really coherent piece that underpinned the beautiful visuals”.

We've been squirrelling away writing original music and providing all the sound design, voice over recording and mixes for the latest moody, atmospheric and beautifully shot '13th Street' channel promos for NBC Universal - directed by Guy Soulsby.
Several versions of the audio were created to cater for different European territories, including 60, 30, 10 and 5 second cutdowns. In addition, SNK have recently been working with the lovely folk at NBC Universal to provide sound design and dubbing for other show promos, including the hit series 'American Crime'.
SNK Studios are pleased to announce their involvement in Guy Soulsby's DEVIL MAKES WORK, a sinister short film illustrating the devil's twisted view of humanity; our hopes and dreams, life, love and struggle together with the sacrifices we make for success.
We were delighted to have been so involved, creating a modern orchestral score and the sound design for both the film and trailer. It's a moody, textural and dramatic journey of instrumentation lovingly created by SNK Studios founder, Seb Juviler. Impactiful sound design was lead by senior engineer, Rob Baker along with a collaborative effort with the rest of the SNK team. Some of the top VFX and production houses in London were involved in the visuals, including Park Village, MPC, Unit, ENVY and Found. The result is a near feature film level of quality.
DEVIL MAKES WORK will be screened at Framestore on the 11th November between 6.30-8.30PM.
Along with the music for dozens of radio and Spotify commercials produced at SNK Studios over the past few months, we've just had the PRS confirm that our original music compositions were recently broadcast on TV in the following legendary programmes!
Flog It, What Not To Wear, Tanked, Worlds Dumbest Criminals, a re-run of Top Gear, the theme music to My Super Sweet Sixteen and several high-profile TV commercials including The Royal Navy, Rated People and a world famous fashion house who shall remain nameless!
When we heard that Nissan's GT-R supercar stand at the worlds largest motoring garden party needed some pumping breakbeat and roaring car sounds, we were happy to oblige! Our friends at JB3 Creative created the lush visuals for the interactive race experience that played on giant screens all weekend, it pits a member of the public in a three way race against Usain Bolt and the GT-R! The picture was accompanied by our specially designed 4 channel 'quad' sound.
We're tremendously excited that the 2013 Music & Sound Awards are nearly upon us (Feb 21st @ Troxy in Central London) and once again, SNK Studios are finalists! Having won one of the delightful glossy black moulds last year for our Sound Design for the Welsh Rugby Union, this year we're stoked that it's our music efforts being recognised in the 'Best Original Composition' section. Our Canon 'Legria' spot in the Trailers & Promos category (with visuals from the brilliant animators at Mainframe) is up against four other equally lovely pieces! We'll be there on the night calming our nerves with a few beers, so watch this space...
SNK Studios provide music and sound design for Jaguar's interactive installation at the 2012 Moscow Auto Show.
We were delighted to work in partnership with Dom Shovelton and creative agency Imagination on the music & sound design for the launch of Jaguar's new all-wheel drive model.
Two bespoke pieces of music were composed to picture by SNK's Kayvan Moghaddassi for two short films, along with sound design for eight technical animations which were synchronised with a moving scale model of the car's wheel base sat on top of an LED bed.
We're delighted that both the Canon 'Legria' idents for Drum and Royal Navy 'Predator' TV ad for WCRS have been picked up for relicense in the last month.
We're especially pleased about these two as they both have some of our best original music composition on there - so it's nice to know they're being put to good use!! Both were re-voiced at SNK Studios in the last month and are now on TV.
